Our LITTLE RAY story

Designed on the Bellarine Peninsula and made in Bali, Indonesia. LITTLE RAY takes it's inspiration from the colours of the Australian coastline such as the yellow of a gum, the cherry red of a wattle and the blues and rusts of the ocean.

LITTLE RAY wishes to increase awareness and consciousness, but also create connectedness with clients and the people they work with to create beautiful, ethical and premium products.

LITTLE RAY is a family run business, and in 2018 this young family chose to leave the big city lights and move to beach lined Australian coast. Our choice has continued to build and educate a deep appreciation for our surroundings, how we connect with them and each other.

LITTLE RAY founder and creator Celeste Kinkead-Weekes conceived the idea in 2018. As a mother of two active boys, LITTLE RAY was designed to support little whirlwinds of humans who are running around the beach or digging themselves into the sand. In January 2018, the family choose to move from Melbourne, Australia to a small coastal town. Our family had no connection to this place. But, the surf was good, the community was small and the pace was slow, comparatively. This change in focus allowed the family to have the space to reflect on what they wanted in their professional and personal lives. Celeste had worked in the UK, Europe and Australia in her early career in fashion and most recently had spent the last 10 years in social work. Celeste wished to combine these industries and create a brand that supports ethical and sustainable practices and values.
